Lambton OPP, Petrolia Volunteer Firefighters and Lambton EMS responded to a house fire in the 200 block of Eureka Street in Petrolia just after 2 p.m. Sunday.
OPP report that there was no one in the house at the time.
The fire is not considered suspicious and the fire service estimates the damage at approximately $80,000.
A lamp that was plugged into a multi-outlet extension cord is being cited as the cause of the fire.
