A demonstrator at a First Nations blockade of a CN Rail line in Sarnia says the protest is beginning to take on an air of excitement.

Ron Plain of the southwestern Aamjiwnaang First Nation says the youth-organized blockade -- part of the national Idle No More movement -- has a peaceful atmosphere, with some protesters making snowmen along the track.

Today marks the protest's sixth day, and there's no end in sight.

Demonstrators say the blockade will continue until Prime Minister Harper meets with Attiwapiskat Chief Theresa Spence, who is on a hunger strike to bring attention to aboriginal issues.
