Oxford County OPP are investigating after a break, enter and theft at the IDA Pharmacy early Wednesday.

Officers were called to the store on Woodstock Street South in Tavistock around 6 a.m. for a theft.

Investigators say the front door of the business was forced open and approximately $9,000 worth of prescription narcotics were taken.

Police are looking for a vehicle seen in the area around the time of the break in. It is described as a dark blue or black smaller SUV or crossover with a roof rail system.

Officials want to remind the public that improper use of prescription narcotics may cause serious trauma or death.
