A 57-year-old Middlesex Centre man has been charged with racing after police say he was going 75 kilometres per hour over the posted speed limit.

On Wednesday at about 10:18 p.m., Middlesex County OPP officers say they saw a motorcycle travelling at a high rate of speed southbound on Adelaide Street, near Twelve Mile Road.

The silver BMW motorcycle, was measured to be travelling over 75 km/hr over the 80 km/hr speed limit, say OPP.

A traffic stop was conducted, and as a result of the police investigation, a 57-year-old male from Middlesex Centre has been charged with race a motor vehicle.

The driver’s vehicle was seized, and his driver’s licence was suspended for seven days.
