The uncle of Toronto Maple Leafs rising star Nazem Kadri is one of three people wanted in connection with an alleged large illegal gambling operation.
A warrant has been issued for 41-year-old Hiesam Kadri of London.
Warrants have also been issued for 35-year-old Jeffery Fuchs of London and 47-year-old Abraham Diles of Stouffville.
Two more arrests were made Wednesday in connection with Platinum Sportsbook investigation. Thirty-nine-year-old Michael Kriaris and 43-year-old Augustino Valenzisi .
All are facing charges related to bookmaking and organized criminal activity.
On Superbowl Sunday police raided a Platinum Sportsbook sponsored event at a banquet hall in Markham.
About a month later early morning raids were made on a number of homes, including three in London.
Platinum Sportsbook is an offshore betting site that police allege is linked to the Hells Angels and other organized crime organizations.
