A partnership between Queen's Park and four Perth County businesses is expected to create 71 jobs and retain 610 existing one.

Liz Sandals, MPP for Guelph, made the announcement Monday at C.R. Plastic Products Inc. in Stratford.

Atwood Heritage Processing Inc., FIO Automotive Canada and Hayashi Canada Inc. will also benefit

Atwood Heritage Processing is building a new 6,800 square foot plant and purchasing new production equipment.

C.R. Plastic Products is investing in new equipment, including a proprietary robotic assembly line.

FIO Automotive Canada is purchasing automated guided vehicles to transport materials as well as designing, manufacturing and installing automated welding equipment.

Hayashi Canada Inc. will be purchasing new equipment and expanding its manufacturing facility in Stratford.

Money will be coming from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund.

Cash from the fund covers up to 15 per cent of eligible project costs, with the recipient company funding the remainder.
