London police are warning the public about a serious of residential break-ins near the downtown and in Old South.

The homes are mainly located between Carfrae Street to the north, Ridout Street to the west, Wellington Road to the east and Baseline Road East to the south

They say force is being used to enter homes, usually through a rear or side-door entrance. Sometimes a window is broken to unlock the door.

Since the start of the year, there have been 15 break-ins, which is an increase of five from this time last year.

The break-ins are occurring between mid-morning and later afternoon.

The suspect has been described as white, with a medium build, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet, between 20 to 30 years old.

He is clean shaven or may have light stubble with brown or dirty blond hair.

He may have a tan construction style jacket.
