Lambton OPP have closed a case involving a man seen on an ice flow on the St Clair River.
Around 9 p.m. Saturday, police were alerted of a man on the ice in the river, under the Bluewater Bridge.
An immediate search of the area was conducted by the OPP, Sarnia Police Department, Point Edward Fire Department, Sarnia Fire Department, the Canadian and U.S. Coast Guard and the Port Huron Police Department.
The search did not locate the man.
Since then, police say the person involved contacted them and is safe and in good health.
No charges will be laid.
Police say residents should always consider their own safety, the safety of others and not take unnecessary risks.
