South Bruce OPP were called to the Ripley Wind Farm south of Kincardine on Thursday afternoon for reports of graffiti.

On arrival, officers found various words had been applied to a turbine tower.

Officers are reminding the public that graffiti negatively impacts a community and that while the removal or repair costs can be expensive, it must be removed.

Graffiti left unchallenged suggests a community that is apathetic about its appearance and most often leads to more graffiti being applied.

Applying graffiti constitutes mischief, a criminal code offence that can carry a maximum sentence of 10 years in jail.
