A West Grey woman is dead and another woman is in serious condition following a crash Friday night in Grey County.
The accident happened on Highway 6, about a half a kilometre south of Grey Road 9 in the Township of Southgate about 7:45 p.m.
OPP say a Dodge Caravan heading north on Highway 6 collided with the side of a tractor trailer which was reversing into a private laneway.
The passenger in the Dodge Caravan was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the woman as Dianne McKinney, 74, of West Grey.
The driver of the Dodge Caravan was extricated from the vehicle by the West Grey Fire Department and transported by ambulance to the Mount Forest Hospital. She was then air lifted to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto in serious condition.
There were no other passengers in the van. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
