A 42-year-old London man, who coached with the London Junior Knights, is facing eight sex-related charges dating back to the mid-1990s.
Durham police say Danny Trepanier was allegedly involved in a sexual relationship with a young boy.
Police say an adult male contacted them, stating that he had been assaulted by Trepanier.
The alleged assaults took place between 1995 and 1999 in Pickering, Uxbridge and Tiverton.
Police say Trepanier has lived in London since 1999. He turned himself into Durham police on Wednesday.
He has been charged with three counts of sexual assault and sexual interference and two counts of invitation to sexual touching.
