A 30-year-old London man is facing numerous charges after a bank robbery and police chase in south London.

On Sunday, November 8, police received a call for a robbery at the TD Canada Trust branch at Ernest and Bradley.

A lone male walked into the bank and brandished a weapon demanding cash. Police now say that the weapon was a pair of scissors.

According to police the man fled but was quickly located and a chase ensued.

The van eventually crashed near the intersection of Deveron Cres. and Edgemere Cres.

The suspect was arrested and police now say that all the money was recovered.

As a result, a London man has been charged with the following:

  • Robbery while armed with a weapon
  • Having face masked
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Fail to stop for police,
  • Leave accident scene,
  • Resisting arrest
