Wellington County OPP officers helped find a missing 18-month old girl who went missing from a rural residence on Thursday.

Police were called at 10:51 a.m. Thursday to the house on Wellington County Road 7 in Wellington Township. It was believed the tot had wandered into a corn field on the property.

All available officers attended the scene, including the Wellington Street Crime Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit.

The toddler was found after approximately 20 minutes. She travelled about 300 metres away from the house. She was not injured and in good health. She was happy to be in her father’s arms.
