Police say a group of masked men stole up to 25,000 in product from the Red Sky Smoke Shop at Chippewa of the Thames First Nation.

Middlesex County OPP and Chippewa of the Thames police were called to the shop located at Three Fires Road at 9:45 a.m. Monday for a reported robbery.

At about 8:30 a.m., 10 to 15 unknown men arrived at the business in two separate vehicles. At the time the suspects were seen wearing all black clothing and masks.

Once inside the store, the suspects ordered the two employees to exit the property and leave the scene, according to police. It has been alleged that one man was seen carrying what was described as a black handgun at the time of the offence.

The suspects took quantity of product valued at $20,000-25,000 as well as $450 in Canadian money. Both employees left the scene without incident and no injuries were reported to police.

The suspect vehicles have been described as an unplated, extended cab, Ford F150 pick-up truck, black in colour and a newer white GMC panel van with no windows.
