There were 100 dogs and cats available for adoption Sunday at the London Pet Show at Western Fair District.

As part of the show, the Super Adoption event was held to find homes for animals in the care of the London Humane Society, Animal Care and Control in London and Animal Aid in St. Thomas.

Representatives were at the show for consultations and to help people find a pet that fit with their lifestyle.

Their message was that there are lots of pets that need rescuing so consider adoption.

On Saturday, they found homes for 21 animals.

For the Campbell family of London, two dogs aren’t quite enough. They were at the show searching for another.

“There are so many little guys out here that need rescuing, you cannot possibly buy a dog,” says Sharon Campbell.

Judy Foster, the executive director of the London Humane Society, says there are too many dogs and cats still in shelters.

“There are so many animals that don't have homes in the London area and so an adoption event like this makes a huge difference. We want to get these animals out of shelters and into homes.”

PetSmart Charities provided $2,500 to make the adoption event possible.

The London Pet Show was also held on Friday and Saturday.
