Oxford County provincial police are investigating after a fatal two-vehicle crash north of Thamesford.

OPP say it happened on 19th Line between Road 68 and Road 74 in Zorra Township on Wednesday at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Police say a northbound car lost control and entered the southbound lane of 19th Line. The car then collided with a southbound minivan.

As a result of the collision, the lone male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been identified by OPP as 18-year-old Cody Henshaw of Zorra Township.

The other male driver of the minivan was taken by ambulance to area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The OPP traffic team attended the scene to assist with the investigation. 19th Line was closed for several hours between Road 68 and Road 74, but has since re-opened.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
