The Ministry of Labour is investigating after a 27-year-old was electrocuted while on the job at A.M.M. Manufacturing Inc. in the Township of Southgate.

Grey County OPP say they were called around 5:15 p.m. on Monday for reports of a male injured in an industrial accident on Southgate Road 24.

A 27-year-old Southgate man was apparently operating a welding machine when he was electrocuted, severely injuring his right hand and arm.

Police say employees at the scene administered first aid and called 911.

The man was transported to Markdale Hospital before being transferred to a London hospital for additional treatment.

According to police A.M.M. Manufacturing Inc. produces large garbage containers.
