A Waterloo man is facing several charges after allegedly threatening police and running his snowmobile at them.

The incident started at a restaurant just outside of Mount Forest on Friday night.

Wellington County OPP were called to the restaurant after reports of an intoxicated male.

They say the man was sitting on his running snowmobile and fled when he was asked for his licence.

The man sped away onto a trail and police said he was taunting them.

When police located him, he allegedly drove at the officers at a high rate of speed, yelling obscenities and death threats.

The suspect’s snowmobile eventually became stuck in a snowbank and police were able to arrest him after a brief struggle.

Kevin Frank, 48, has been charged with 11 offences incuding four counts of uttering death threats, three counts of assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and impaired driving.
