OWEN SOUND, Ont. - A 22-year-old man is charged after a break-in at a home in the Owen Sound area.
Provincial police say a homeowner the Township of Georgian Bluffs heard a noise in his house on Sunday and went downstairs to investigate.
The homeowner discovered a man opening his fridge and chased him into the garage where he confronted him again.
Police say after being told that officers had been called, the suspect ran from the home and attempted to break into another nearby residence.
After an extensive search with the help of a K-9 unit and an emergency response team, police say the suspect was located.
Kyle Todd of nearby Sarawak Township is charged with breaking and entering and possession of stolen property, among other charges.
