A Bruce Peninsula man is facing impaired driving charges after allegedly blowing 2.5 times the legal limit.
Around 2 a.m. Sunday morning, an OPP officer stoped a Mazda pickup truck in the area of Cape Hurd Road and Highway 6 for a seatbelt violation. \
The officer determined the driver was drinking alcohol.
The driver failed a roadside test and had to be taken to the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment for more breath tests.
A 26 year old man has been charged with failing to wear a seat belt, driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol and drive motor vehicle with open container of alcohol.
He has a court date on May 5.
