A standoff in West Grey near Hanover ended peacefully after more than five hours Sunday.
Grey OPP were called to reports of a male firing a weapon inside a residence on Allan Park Road.
The West Region Emergency Response Team, canine unit, the Tactics and Rescue Unit and the OPP Critical Incident Unit responded to the call at 2:45 a.m.
Allan Park Road was closed from Grey Road 4 south to Concession 2 as containment was set up around the residence. Hanover police also assisted.
Police say shortly after 8 a.m. the incident was peacefully resolved.
A 32-year old West Grey man was arrested and taken into custody without incident.
The West Grey Police Service continue to investigate.
