A bizarre incident in north London has landed a 34 year old man in hot water after he was found in a park with a gun.

Around 3:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon, police were called to Doidge Park at Wellington and Cheapside, after witnesses saw a man sitting on a bench with a long gun.

Police attended the area and arrested the man who was in possession of a pellet rifle with an attached scope.

He was observed by a witness to allegedly point the firearm in the direction of people playing within the park.

The man told police he only intended to shoot pop cans with the gun.

Charged is Sackdavone Ounsamone, 34, with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
