Travel advisory for parts of the region, calmer conditions overnight

There is a travel advisory in effect into Grey and Bruce counties with an additional five to 10 centimeters of snow heading into Thursday evening.

Trace amounts of snow expected across the rest of the region as a weather system moves through.

However, according to CTV News Meteorologist Julie Atchison, calmer conditions overnight.

“Friday back above freezing in some areas, but getting set for our next weather system to come in Saturday with the potential of a rain snow mix,” said Atchison. “We have the coldest air coming in, heading into early next week.”

Overnight lows starting Monday will hit minus 16 to 19 degrees.

The Middlesex-London Health Unit issuing a cold warning earlier this week.

Thursday: Flurries. Local amount 2 to 4 cm. Wind southwest 30 km/h gusting to 50. High minus 4. Wind chill minus 17 this morning and minus 10 this afternoon.

Thursday Night: Mainly cloudy. 40 percent chance of flurries early this evening. A few flurries beginning this evening. Local amount 2 cm. Wind west 20 km/h gusting to 40. Low minus 7. Wind chill near minus 14.

Friday: A mix of sun and cloud. High minus 1.

Saturday: Flurries or rain showers. High zero.

Sunday: Flurries or rain showers. High zero.

Monday: Cloudy with 60 per cent chance of flurries. High minus 12.
