A London woman is desperately searching for a second lease on life.

With National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week nearing an end, Danielle Davidson is hoping to get the word out.

She is waiting for a miracle - a second double-lung transplant.

Davidson was born with cystic fibrosis. Two years ago at the age of 26 she underwent her first double-lung transplant in Toronto.

Unfortunately, because of complications she needs a second operation.

She is a teacher who hasn't been able to be in a classroom because of her illness.

"Ultimately, I just want to have enough energy to go back to work," says Davidson.

But the process comes with costs that aren't covered by the government since she must travel to Toronto for the procedure, and without help it's a struggle for Davidson and her husband.

"I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have the friends and the family that I have. Just to be able to get up in the morning and not have to think about my rent - sorry - so that I can breathe. I just don't want to think about how to get through my day with not being able to breathe."
