A transport truck driver from London has been charged following a four vehicle collision on Highway 40 in Lambton County.
The collision occurred around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 40 south of Confederation Line near Sarnia.
An investigation found that a vehicle was stopped northbound on Highway 40 to make a left turn onto Gladwish Drive. Two other vehicles were stopped waiting for the turn to be completed. However, a tractor trailer northbound on Highway 40 failed to notice the stopped vehicles and struck the rearward most vehicle causing a chain reaction collision.
All drivers involved, accept for the truck driver, were taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
A 57-year-old London man has been charged with Careless Driving.
