Bell Let’s Talk

Today is the 10th annual Bell Let’s Talk Day which raises funds and awareness for mental health initiatives across the province and aims to break the stigma. Bell will donate towards mental health initiatives in Canada by contributing 5¢ for every applicable text, call, tweet and retweet, social media video view and use of the Facebook frame or Snapchat filter.

Nan’s House

London city council made their decision when it came to the home of Nan Finlayson after voting unanimously to expropriate 100 Stanley Street for the widening of Wharncliffe Road. The city says they are continuing to negotiate with Nan who says for her part she will stay as long as she possibly can.

ETFO/Province resume negotiations

The union representing Ontario’s public elementary school teachers and the province are returning the bargaining table today after a six week hiatus. ETFO recently has warned that they will escalate their strike actions if a deal is not reached by next week.
