A 69-year-old London resident thought he won $14,000 in a lottery, but remained calm when he realized it was actually $14 million.

"I didn’t shout or jump up and down. I think the store clerk was more excited than I was," says Youn-Sae Lee, who scanned his LOTTO MAX ticket at a self-checker.

The retired Lee bought the ticket at Handi Mart on Highbury Road in Arva for the Sept. 12 draw.

“I was going about my regular routine. I often fill up gas on Saturdays and purchase my lottery tickets for the following week. Then I check my tickets once the draw happens.”

Lee says he occasionally selects his own numbers, but won the LOTTO MAX with a Quick Pick.

“I’ve been buying LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 lottery tickets for twenty years," he says.

He sought the advice of his family before going to claim his winnings.

He is still deciding what to do with his windfall. For now, he plans to put the money into a bank account.
