London Police are warning the public about a possible scam involving a woman claiming her vehicle was broken into.

Police are looking into two reports a week apart where a female approached the victims in the area of Wellington Road and Commissioners Road East, claiming that her vehicle was broken into while she stopped at a restaurant to eat.

The female claims she drove from Tennessee and stopped in London for food. She then says her vehicle was broken into and items stolen while she was in the restaurant. She asked the victims for money to assist her.

The suspect in this matter is described as a female, white, approximately 45 to 55 years of age, operating a black 4-door car with damage to the rear passenger side door, and the back window missing. The vehicle had Tennessee licence plates.

Both instances occurred in the early evening hours, approximately one week apart.
