Police in London were out in full force on St. Patrick’s Day, and issued citations for hundreds of violation in an attempt to prevent anything like last year’s Fleming Drive riot.

Officials say the preparations and strict enforcement appear to have been a success, with no major incidents reported.

London police say 21 kegs were seized from various locations on Tower Lane, Broughdale Avenue, Huron Street and Epworth Avenue.

In addition, police handed out 176 tickets for Liquor Licence Act violations, 27 for noise by-law violations, six for urinating in public and nine for nuisance parties.

They are also thanking the public for acting responsibly.
