London police are looking for three suspects after an 18-year-old was found shot to death in a parking lot in northeast London.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the parking lot at 1181 Highbury Avenue North on Sunday, which police say subsequently resulted in the death of an 18-year-old male, who police identified as Jeremy Ryan Cook.

Police say the victim had left his cell phone in a taxi cab, however, he electronically tracked it to 1181 Highbury Avenue.

When he arrived at that address with a relative, at about 5:15 a.m., the victim and relative approached a silver 2004 Mazda 6 four-door sedan that was occupied by three males then a discussion occurred about the phone. While at this location, a male passenger exited the vehicle and walked away from the area.

Police say the vehicle started to drive away, so the victim partially climbed onto and held the driver's side door. The vehicle drove northbound on Highbury Avenue then turned east. Shots were then fired, according to police.

Officers responded and found the victim, deceased, behind the plaza located on the southeast corner of Highbury Avenue and Huron Street. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

The vehicle eventually drove west on Huron Street then collided with a fence and a hydro pole near Barker Street before it was found abandoned on Wyndham Crescent. After the vehicle was abandoned, a male was seen running northwest through Ed Blake Park.

Within minutes, three males were seen leaving the area in a cab that was stopped by police. Those males were taken into custody. But on Monday morning, these males were released from custody, after police say it was determined that they were not involved.

A citizen called police after finding the victim's cell phone in the area of Wyndham Crescent and Barker Street.

Police believe the suspects and the victim were not known to each other and the victim was not known to the London Police Service.

The three males that police are now looking for are the two that were in the vehicle at the time of the incident as well as the one that walked away from the Mazda 6 at 1181 Highbury Avenue North.

The suspects have been described as between 18-21 years old.

The first one is described as a black male, wearing a white shirt with a black design.

The second male is described as black, with very short hair, wearing a black jacket or shirt and a fitted hat.

The third male is described as black, of slim build, wearing a blue shirt and a black hat.
