An investigation is underway after a 22-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in a vehicle in west end London around 3 a.m. on Sunday.
Police say the alleged assault occurred after the woman, who was in the area of Richmond Street and Oxford Street, accepted the offer of a ride home from a man.
The woman was then driven to the area of Oxford Street West and Westdel Bourne where she was allegedly assaulted inside the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early 30s, 5’8” to 5’10” tall, 165 to 175 pounds, a slim build, dark, short hair, clean shaven and an eastern European accent.
The vehicle is described as a newer model beige or light-coloured van with a beige interior.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are asking anyone who can help identify the suspect or the vehicle to contact them. They are also reminding people to be cautious and report suspicious activity.
