After assistance from the public and media, London Police say they have now found the witness to a possible sexual assault after an incident in the downtown core.
On Saturday, police released a photo and statement, saying they were hoping to talk to a possible witness of the incident.
Now police say they have found the witness and that person has been interviewed.
Police thank the public and media for its assistance.
Around 9:10 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, police say a woman was grabbed from behind by an unknown man while walking under the railway underpass at Richmond and York Street.
The victim claims the suspect touched her in a sexual manner.
She was able to ward off the suspect who fled westbound on York.
The victim was not hurt.
The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 28 to 32-years-old, 5’11 to 6’1, with a stocky build.
He is bald, or has very short, light coloured hair, and poor dental hygiene.
He was wearing a baggy, zip-up style Ecko sweater with the hood up over his head, grey baggy sweatpants, and white running shoes.
