The municipal election may be more than five months away but that hasn't stopped the London Multicultural Club from endorsing a slate of candidates for city council.

It sent out four questions on job creation and multicultural issues to 48 of the registered candidates. Officials say they received responses from 43.

Of the six registered incumbents to date, only three have made the list.

They are Bud Polhill in Ward 1, Stephen Orser in Ward 4 and Sandy White in Ward 14.

Incumbents who did not get the nod are Denise Brown in Ward 11, Bill Armstrong in Ward 2 and Paul Hubert in Ward 8.

In fact, Ward 8 is marked as "undecided" even though Hubert is the only registered candidate.

Hubert tells CTV London that he never received a questionnaire.

The club's board of directors says it feels it's important to get their choices out there early.

"A lot of newcomers, new Canadians, minorities, are not involved about election. What we are trying to do is energize our community, ethnic groups, multicultural and make them involved process. Go out. Vote," says Deeq Abdi of the Multicultural Club.

The club has not made it's selection for mayor.
