OPP have identified the deceased from an early morning crash on Highway 401, near Elgin Road.
Middlesex OPP was called to the highway around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday for a report of fatal crash between a car and a transport truck.
Provincial police say the car was travelling eastbound on the 401, when it ran into the rear end of a tractor truck that was parked on the shoulder.
The driver of the car, Adel Zecharia, 54, of London, was declared dead at the scene. The truck driver was not injured.
The highway was closed for approximately five hours during the investigation.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
