A 49-year-old man accused of peeping through windows near Western University is facing over a dozen charges.

On Monday, London police charged Walter Figueiredo with 14 counts of voyeurism.

The offences stem from a year-long investigation that prompted warnings to residents in July about an individual allegedly peering through bathroom and bedroom windows with a camera.

Those living in the area from Richmond Street at the Western University gates, east to the area around King's College were warned after police received several complaints.

Figueiredo was initially arrested in the area of Richmond and Cheapside Streets on Sept. 29, where he was charged with six counts of trespassing.

A search warrant was then executed at Figueiredo’s southeast London home, leading to the additional voyeurism charges

Officers with the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section have identified five female victims between October 2013 and Sept. 29, 2014, the night he was first arrested.

He was being held in custody, and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
