London police have seized nearly $110,000 in marijuana and plants and laid charges against a 64-year-old man.

Members of the Guns and Drugs Section, including RCMP officers, searched a home on St. Clair Crescent on Wednesday.

As a result of the search warrant, police seized 104 marijuana plants valued at $104,000, 479 grams of marijuana valued at $4,790 and 2,175 grams of marijuana bud and dried leaf mixture valued at $450.

As a result, a 64-year-old London man has been charged with unlawfully producing marijuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 14.
