London police are investigating an early morning hit and run.
Around 5:45 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision at Wharncliffe Rd. S. and Base Line Rd. E.
A black pickup truck struck a light standard and a hydro pole.
The crash knocked out the power to a number of traffic lights on Wharncliffe between Commissioners Road East and Emery Street for a few hours.
The driver then fled the scene but was located by police around 8 a.m.
A 24 year old man from London is charged with Careless Driving and Failure to Report.
