Middlesex OPP have charged a London man after a break and enter southeast of the city led to a traffic stop involving multiple cruisers in the city.

Provincial police were called for a residential break and enter in the 3000 block of Gladstone Drive, west of Putnam Road in Thames Centre.

Investigators found the suspect(s) gained entry to the home through a side door of the residence and removed property valued at $400.

An alert citizen contacted police saying they has seen a black Dodge Charger fleeing the scene.

Soon after, a vehicle matching the description was located northbound on Wellington Road and stopped in the area of Watson Street.

OPP, with the assistance of London police, then arrested two people at the scene.

He was released from custody on a promise to appear and has a court date in late June.
