Record setting month for influenza in Huron-Perth

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) is highlighting a record-setting month for influenza. According to the organization, November was a historic month with 31pateitns admitted across the network, 14 of which were six years old or younger.

Multi-million dollar blaze destroys Huron County barns

Flames still flicker from an early morning blaze that claimed a trio of barns on a farm near Holmesville, Ont. on Wednesday. 14 cattle and nine chickens perished in the fire, and damages are estimated at between $2 million to $3 million.

Micro homes project a success, with plans to expand

A unique partnership to train members of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation to build micro homes on nation land has had a fruitful start. On Wednesday, a special ceremony and graduation for the first Pathways course was held on First Nations land.
