Two local artists named as finalists for the Canadian Country Music Association’s Discovery Program.

The Program is a national initiative to educate and support Canadian country music artists in their pursuit of a career in the music industry.

Eric Ethridge and the band Runaway Angel are among the six finalists. Ethridge went to Western University and lived in London for a time, while Stacey Zegers of London is in Runaway Angel.

During Country Music Week 2016 in London the finalists will perform at a public showcase on Thursday, September 8where a winner will be selected as part of the event.

Part of the prize is a video shoot compliments of CMT Canada.

Country Music Week runs from September 8-11th.
