A Lambton County OPP officer has been charged with assault.
The OPP Professional Standards Bureau says the charge against Const. Carmen Bressette is the result of an investigation into an incident that happened in the detachment during an arrest on Dec. 31, 2013.
Police say Bressette, a 29-year member of the OPP has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon.
According to the OPP, Bressette has been assigned to administrative duties pending a court hearing in Sarnia on June 9.
