Inside the Cup With Kathy

Kathy is no longer employed by Bell Media.

Hi Folks,

I'm Kathy.

I've been working as a journalist in London for more than 15 years.

My favourite assignments include covering two Olympic Games, (at the 2006 Olympics I was mistaken for a figure skater), the Commonwealth Games, politics in China, council meetings in Summerland, B.C., and well, interviewing Alice Cooper, the Godfather of Shock Rock.

Let's just say that interview went sideways really quickly.

I covered the Memorial Cup in 2005 when the London Knights were crowned champions. The city was electric.

I've also worked as a journalist in Penticton, B.C. and travelled to Taiwan, Italy, the Caribbean and throughout the U.S. to report.

My work has been  published in Israel, Britain, Australia and across Canada and the U.S.

I was the host of a show about harness racing on Rogers TV for two years and the host of Summer Stage Scene on LFPress.com for three seasons.

I optimistically support the New York Islanders, believing another Stanley Cup for my team is right around the corner.

I'm a hardcore junkie (of news). I have news on my radio, laptop and television pretty much all the time. (My family loves this.)

Besides Alice Cooper, my favourite interviews were with Gordie Howe, Christopher Plummer, Deepak Chopra, Paul Martin and Elmo - yes, I really did interview the Sesame Street star.

My bucket list includes writing a cookbook.  It may be hard considering my best recipe is chocolate Pop Tarts and ham, but I'll get there.

OK. Let's go. Connect with me here.
