The Ministry of Labour is investigating after a 51-year-old worker died at Johnson Controls Ltd. in Tillsonburg on Tuesday morning.

Provincial police were called to the facility on Townline Road around 6:15 a.m. and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Oxford County EMS and the OPP Forensic Identification Team also assisted.

The Ministry of Labour was subsequently called in and is now investigating the death.

Matt Blajer, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Labour, says a lid came off a mould and hit the man in the head, causing serious injuries.

About 300 people work at the plant, which manufactures seats for the auto industry.

The identity of the man has not yet been released.
