Elgin County OPP are investigating after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at her home east of Vienna, Ont. over the weekend.

Investigators say the woman was on the porch of her rural property in the Municipality of Bayham on Saturday around 9 p.m. when she was allegedly grabbed by a male and forced inside her residence before being sexually assaulted.

After the male left the woman called for help. She was treated for minor injuries at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital and then released.

"Obviously, it's a very serious crime. I'ts a sexual assault and we have someone out there that is still at large," says Brad Fishleigh, Elgin OPP detachment commander.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10" to 6' tall, in is mid- to late-20s with a muscular build and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, dark pants and white socks.
