The deadline for filing your 2013 income taxes is midnight Tuesday.

The deadline is normally April 30 each year, but the Canada Revenue Agency extended it by five days, after the Heartbleed computer bug forced the agency to shut down public access to its e-File and Net-File systems for five days.

Those who owe taxes will face a five per cent late-filing penalty after Tuesday.

People who are self-employed must file their taxes on or before June 16, unless they owe money to the government.
