Two workers were taken to hospital following an incident at the Shell Sarnia Manufacturing Centre near Corunna Wednesday.

One of the workers is in stable condition and the other was treated and released.

The incident happened about 11:30 a.m.

Spokesperson Randy Provencal says he cannot comment on the nature of the incident as it is under investigation.

The Ministry of Labour and Fire Marshall's Office are on site.

"They are currently interviewing workers," Provencal says. "I can't confirm details."

He says the refinery was not evacuated and it is operating normally at this time.
