Highway 401 reopens near Woodstock after six-vehicle crash

Four transport trucks and two cars collided, closing the westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Woodstock on Wednesday morning.

Oxford County OPP officers are investigating the crash, which happened just before 4 a.m. near County Road 22 at the 246 mile marker.

Six people were transported to Woodstock General Hospital by Oxford County emergency crews for minor injuries.

Police, the Drumbo Fire Department and heavy tow operators spent several hours assisting with the clean-up and getting the highway re-opened.

Highway 401 westbound between Cedar Creek/Regional Road 97 and Highway 2 were closed until about 11:15 a.m.
