Motorists are being warned by the OPP after weather conditions have shut down Highway 21.

Police have closed the highway from Blyth Road to Amberley Road.

Winds coming off of the lake are creating poor visibility and heavy drifting of snow along the highway.

Police are reminding motorists that driving on a closed roadway may result in a $110 fine and three demerit points if convicted.

Drivers are urged to call 5-1-1 or check http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/traveller/trip/ for the latest road conditions.
