Hanover hockey hat-trick history?
The community of Hanover, Ont. is buzzing after one of their own may have made hockey history.
Eight-year-old Brayden MacIntosh scored 107 goals this year.
But the three goals he scored in the final game of the season may have made history as the fastest hat trick ever, three goals in 10 seconds.
It was so fast his coach missed two of the three goals in the potentially record-setting hat trick.
"There were only a few minutes left, I thought we had the game under control so I was talking to one of the kids and then crowd roared. So I missed the third goal too," says coach Mark Dosman.
Brayden's hat trick has far eclipsed the NHL record for fastest hat trick of 21 seconds set by Bill Mosienko back in 1952.
Brayden's quick hands led his team to a 7-2 victory and Hanover's first ever it's WOAA Novice local league championship.
"When Brayden scored the first goal we were down by one and I didn't think we would come back that easily," says teammate Declan MacDonald.
Brayden's mom thinks his feat is pretty special too. "I'm very proud of him. He's come along way in two years," says Ashley MacIntosh.
Brayden says he hopes on making the big leagues one day.
