Middlesex OPP say they have seized drugs valued at over $185,000, two stolen vehicles and ammunition at a home on Woodhull Road.

The OPP's Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and Drug Enforcement Unit, along with members of the West Region K9, Western Region Emergency Response Team, Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit executed the search warrant around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police found an indoor marijuana grow operation within the garage area of the Middlesex Centre home, as well as a quantity of processed cannabis marijuana and hashish.

They also recovered two stolen vehicles in various stages of dismantlement and a quantity of ammunition.

As a result of an investigation police have charged Christopher Campbell, 50, and Vince Vernile, 46, both of Middlesex Centre Township with:

  • producing cannabis marijuana
  • possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of prafficking
  • possession of cannabis resin)
  • fail to comply with recognizance
  • two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

Campbell is also charged with possessing ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.

Both parties were arrested without incident.

Campbell was remanded into police custody and will appear in a London courtroom at a later date.

Vernile was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom on December 27th.
